Living by the park in a historic neighbourhood
At home in the Bavarian metropolis
Munich is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It boasts a particularly high quality of life – and it maintains both its historical heritage and its reputation as a modern business and science metropolis. As a sought-after location for companies, people engaged in the cultural sector and people who love something special, Munich leaves little to be desired – be it the close connection between city and nature or sports and culture. The surrounding mountains and lakes are extremely popular with and valued by the people living in Munich, and are often used as local recreation areas. The Munich Oktoberfest is known and loved beyond the country’s borders. Other city’s landmarks such as the Hofbräuhaus, Marienplatz, the glockenspiel (clock) of the neo-Gothic Town Hall, the State Opera and the Stachus shape the face and character of the Bavarian capital. Like almost no other city, Munich represents the lifestyle of its citizens: on the banks of the Isar, in the English Garden and, last but not least, in the countless beer gardens.
