Munich Model for tenants (MMM)

subsidized apartments

In contrast to the privately funded apartments, the subsidized apartments (MMM) have threshold-free semi-recessed balconies with grey paving made of artificial stone and manually operated shutters on most of the room windows. A shower curtain holder is installed in the bathrooms, which the tenants can affix their own curtains to. The washbasin mirrors extend to the top of the washbasin. No built-in kitchen is provided.

MUNich Model (MMM)

The subsidized MMM apartments are suitable for those looking for accommodation, whose total creditable income exceeds the upper limits set out in Art. 11 BayWoFG (Bavarian Housing Promotion Act) by a maximum of 25% (“income level IV”). Evidence must be provided to the landlord. Make sure you provide an up-to-date “Munich Model” certificate issued by the Social Services Department, Office for Housing and Migration before signing a rental contract. This will also indicate the permitted number of rooms.
